Throughout the Nikah ceremony, the bride and groom aren't allowed to see each other. Instead, all the women usually sit around the bride while all the men sit around the groom. After that, a brief prayer is done over the wedding rings then the rings are exchanged. Then there are the wedding readings and vow exchange.
